Photoshop has been a part of my life for a good 9 years. I remember using it back in the day when I was still in Brasil and the computer we had was ridiculously slow. I've never had proper classes to learn how to use it (apart from 1 or 2 classes during uni where we just quickly brushed through some stuff that I can't even remember any more). Everything I know about photoshop, I learnt from online tutorials and trial and error. It's been a long journey yet I still can't get enough of it! There is so much more to learn. Not to mention its brother, Illustrator. Now that is a program I have been way too scared to fully try. I've had a play with it before, but not for long enough. Maybe I should try it out a bit more.
I've started thinking about ways to make my resume more attractive. I have a feeling I will be able to do something unique eventually, something that will grab people's attention. But unlike a lot of people, I don't have a on/off switch for my creativity. I can't just create on demand. I don't understand how some people can, to be honest. For me, creativity usually shows up when I least expect it. Because it is so random, I find it hard to keep track of it. I know I've had some good ideas that have been lost just because I didn't have somewhere to write them down or maybe was too busy driving or something else that I couldn't just stop. It can be frustrating. You know that feeling you get sometimes when you enter a room and suddenly forget what you were there for? Yeah, I get like that sometimes with my creative side. I'll start doing it, get side tracked and suddenly forget it. It usually comes back to me, but not always.
Ever since I quit my job, I have been more creative. But I still have a long way to go.
