Now moving on. I would like to share something i found out a while back in my German class. It might surprise you, you might not believe me (just like i didn't believe who told me) but i shall show you some evidence. So in the lovely land of Germany, in Berlin (i think), back in the days, they used to import cucumbers from Poland. Not sure why, but they did. After a few years, they started planting their own cucumbers. And because of that (that's the only explanation i have) they made a cucumber museum. Yes, a cucumber museum. No, you are not misreading that. It does say cucumber, as in, the vegetable. That green boring looking vegetable. They have a museum dedicated to our little fellows the cucumbers. Obviously i had to google this. I couldn't just blindly believe my German teacher, who wasn't able to understand why i was so shocked. She knew about the museum, but never went there. Which means i don't know anyone who has been there (keep in mind most people in my class have been to Germany and NEVER heard of this museum). Doesn't it just sound like a made up place? Yeah i thought so too. SO me googling it was only fair. I googled "cucumber museum" and couldn't find much. So i tried googling Gurkenmuseum (which is cucumber museum in german). And i found this. The museum actually exists! Can you believe that? How is it possible that a museum dedicated to cucumbers exists but santa or the easter bunny don't? How is that even fair? What is the use of a cucumber museum? Why would you want to go look at one, apart from the 'wtf' factor? I just want to go to Germany to see it for myself. What would be inside that museum? If curiosity killed i would be so dead right now! I tried to find out if there are many types of cucumber so, you know, you could have a museum explaining the types, like you can have museum for insects and stuff. But nah, there aren't more than 10 types of cucumber. And they all look the same! (surprise surprise!) Am i missing something? If you have any details on this magical museum, please share. My aim in life now is to find out more about this strange German obsession. I'd like to know why cucumbers are so important to the extend where they have their own museum. Simply shocking. I have so many questions.
Maybe i should find something more productive to do now....

I still laugh at how outraged you were/are :P
Cucumbers are so exciting! They are green and tasty - definitly worth a museum :) We Germans can get excited about a lot of things and have a lot of museums for a lot of weird things, hehe. But it is good fun to visit a museum for lets say chocolate (this is in colonge and really, really great!) you should come over and see it with your own eyes. I'd love to show you around!
